CLO: This course discusses the concept of Art and Craft for Young Children. Emphasis is placed on active learning through a visual arts program for children under five years and five to eight years. This course also cover craft activities for young children. Students will be exposed to the correct technique in assessment of arts and crafts. In addition, this course discusses on modifying the curriculum and activities for special needs child.

Course Synopsis: Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour and mental processes. PT21203 (Psikologi Fisiologi) Physiological Psychology is the sub-area of psychology that takes a physiological approach to understanding behaviour. Physiological psychology is a course that explores the physiological basis of psychological aspects of functioning such as emotion, sleep, fear, panic, motivation, learning and psychological disorders. Accordingly, with this course, students are able to identify, describe and understand the interrelationship between psychology and physiology with regards to internal structure of human body and its association with psychology.

Course Learning Outcomes:

1. 1.Accurately explain the basic concepts in physiological psychology and its application to psychology.

2. Analyze the functions and role of at least 1 specific part of the brain in a human's daily functioning.

3. Explain the implications of a brain damage to the human's behavior in a group presentation.

4. Contribute to academic discussion regarding brain function by providing constructive criticism to peer presentations.

Course Synopsis: This course discusses human behavior in the social context. Social psychology will be discussed as a formal discipline from the aspect of theories, the methodologies used and the related issues. This course will focus on important topics such as attribution, perception, self-concept, and attitude. The issues will be relate to the various phenomena that happened in the social context such as prejudice and discrimination, interpersonal attraction, interdependency relationship, social influence, pro-social behavior and aggression

Course Synopsis: This course aims to guide students on theories and practices in educational assessment and evaluation. It enables students to acquire theoretical framework and skills for test planning, test item construction, test administration, test scoring and item analysis. Topic discussed in the course include concepts and definitions of testing, assessment and evaluation, basic statistics in educational evaluation, evaluation in cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains, types of tests, test planning and item construction, validity and reliability of test, administration of test, interpretation of testing results, and skills in educational evaluation.

Course Synopsis: Kursus ini mendedahkan pelajar kepada konsep statistik. Pelajar dibimbing cara menyelesaikan permasalahan statistik yang berkaitan dengan isu dalam psikologi dan kerja sosial. Topik yang dibincangkan termasuklah kegunaan statistik dalam penyelidikan, skala pengukuran, data dan kaedah pengumpulan data, kaedah mempersembahkan data, statistik deskriptif iaitu ukuran kecenderungan memusat dan ukuran serakan, skor piawai dan taburan normal, kebarangkalian, statistik inferensi berparameter seperti korelasi, regresi, ujian-t, Anova dan beberapa teknik statistik tak berparameter seperti khi kuasa dua, Mann-Whitney U-Test, Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test dan Kruskal-Wallis Test.

Course Name: INTRODUCTION TO PARENTING AND NON TRADITIONAL FAMILIES

Course Synopsis: This course will introduce topics regarding parenting on the aspects of parents-child relationships. Students will also be introduced to the characteristics of traditional and non-traditional family where the focus is more on the aspect of parenting strategies in helping children to develop their competencies in social setting with correct and desirable values and moral. Theoretical assumptions of the parenting aspects and family structures will also be highlighted along with issues and exploration on the role of parents & the environment in rearing children, especially parenting children at different developmental and growth stages. Besides that, the aspects of resiliencies in families with working parents, difficulties, and varying life circumstances and aging families will also be highlighted.
