In addition, this course discusses on modifying the curriculum and activities for special needs child.

Course Synopsis: Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour and mental processes. PT21203 (Psikologi Fisiologi) Physiological Psychology is the sub-area of psychology that takes a physiological approach to understanding behaviour. Physiological psychology is a course that explores the physiological basis of psychological aspects of functioning such as emotion, sleep, fear, panic, motivation, learning and psychological disorders. Accordingly, with this course, students are able to identify, describe and understand the interrelationship between psychology and physiology with regards to internal structure of human body and its association with psychology.

Course Learning Outcomes:

  1. 1.Accurately explain the basic concepts in physiological psychology and its application to psychology.

  2. Analyze the functions and role of at least 1 specific part of the brain in a human's daily functioning.

  3. Explain the implications of a brain damage to the human's behavior in a group presentation.

  4. Contribute to academic discussion regarding brain function by providing constructive criticism to peer presentations.

Course Synopsis: This course will introduce topics regarding parenting on the aspects of parents-child relationships. Students will also be introduced to the characteristics of traditional and non-traditional family where the focus is more on the aspect of parenting strategies in helping children to develop their competencies in social setting with correct and desirable values and moral. Theoretical assumptions of the parenting aspects and family structures will also be highlighted along with issues and exploration on the role of parents & the environment in rearing children, especially parenting children at different developmental and growth stages. Besides that, the aspects of resiliencies in families with working parents, difficulties, and varying life circumstances and aging families will also be highlighted.
