Course Synopsis: The aim of this course is to equip students with the knowledge and skills related to new media technologies. With the acquired skills, students are expected to design and develop new media contents within the broad context of communication. This course is expected to develop and apply capabilities that encompass current knowledge and soft skills that are in compliance to industry standards.

A sample of instructions given to students during the MCO period. The students were able to curate educational resources using "wakelet" and the curation was uploaded into a Padlet (embedded into SMARTV3).

You have used wakelet to curate and produced a multimedia story related to COVID-19.

I shall show you how to produce a screencast of your multimedia story concerning COVID-19 using LOOM.

You need to do the following;

  1. Learn how to use LOOM. [Click on the video 'LOOM Google Chrome Extension"].

  2. You will produce a recording (screencast) of your multimedia story using LOOM (not more than 3 min). Try to include the webcam recording of your face / talking-head.

  3. Upload your Screencast to YouTube. [Click on the video "Uploading to YouTube"]

  4. Share your YouTube in the respective groups in the Padlet.

  5. NOTE: - As a member of this CoP, we can mutually help one another (technical aspect only).

  6. SOME OF US MAY FACE CONNECTIVITY ISSUES OR LOW BANDWIDTH PROBLEMS. PLEASE INFORM ME. THERE WILL BE NO PENALTY IF YOU ARE FACING ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS.

Course Synopsis: Tema utama perbincangan dalam kursus ini memberi fokus kepada ciri-ciri, sifat serta isu-isu yang bergolak dalam sesebuah organisasi kompleks. Etzioni (1961) menyatakan organisasi sebagai unit sosial yang mempunyai matlamat yang khusus serta mengandungi ciri-ciri kompleks yang bersifat birokratik. Justeru itu, konsep organisasi yang digunakan dalam kursus ini merujuk kepada organisasi birokratik yang kompleks. Skop perbincangan kuliah mencakupi kuasa, kepemimpinan, konflik, budaya organisasi dan komunikasi dalam organisasi.

Course Synopsis: This course aims at studying the origin of stratification and social inequality and its concequences. It focuses mainly on the inequality that is present in the economic structure of society in the form of social class, and its relationship with other forms of social inequalities based on ethnicity, nationality, gender, generation and age differences. Several important concepts are discussed that serve as fundamental in the sociological understanding of stratifications and inequalities. The course will also discuss the social inequaliy between countries. To put theory into practice and allow students to gain "real world" experience, this course will apply the SULAM's (Service Learnig Malaysia - University for Society) pedagogy.
